PowerNation Wk 1: '55 Pontiac Star Chief

It's official. This is the best looking wagon I have EVER seen. And what's better? The owners, Bobby Coln and his wife Margaret, put miles on it! Not everyone would agree with me, but I am one who believes if you have a vehicle (especially a really cool one!) it should to be used. This Star Chief travels to car shows all year long, and after talking to Bobby and Margaret, they wouldn't have it any other way!

Another one of my favorite features of this wagon is the color. It is stunning! PPG “Edgewood Green” with “Cream” accents. In case you are curious, here are a few more fun facts:

-Powered by a Pontiac 455 with a Turbo 400 trans

-Rides on a ’72 Nova front clip and Boyd Coddington wheels with Michelin rubber

-All the bumpers have been re-chromed

-The matching interior is done in Ultra Leather with the original gauges

-It is a Grant wood steering wheel

There is no doubt I had a blast shooting with this beautiful wagon, the Colns, and my good friend Rob the camera guy. Learn even more about this awesome wagon this week on PowerNation!
